Why Alameda Preschool?

School Year
- Alameda Preschool follows Portland Public School’s calendar for holiday and weather closures.
- We open a day later than PPS and close a day early.
- Start dates are typically late August through mid-June
Days
- Preschool is open 8:45am-12:45 pm
- Children may attend 2-4 days a week
- A few 5-day spots are set aside for returning four-year-olds.
Stay and Play
- 12:45-2:45
- Monday-Thursday
- 4-6 slots a day (minimum of 3 kids needed per day)
- $22/day with a yearly commitment (averages to $66ish/month per day. No charge on days that school is closed)

* Please note that tuition is an annual amount divided by 10 months; tuition increases by 5% annually
Admissions
Tours are available now for the 2026-2027 school year. We ask prospective children to come too so they can see the space as well. Enrollment opens to new families in February.
